The Elements is a large, four-panel (tetraptych) painting inspired by the four elements: earth, air, fire and water. I have drawn inspiration from the four elements before, but this is the first time I have used acrylic pouring to represent them.

This large contemporary abstract painting was created using a flip-n-drag pour technique. Each panel represents a different element. Two colors solid colours were selected for each panel, then a cup filled with additional colours and metallic paints was applied to the intersection on the canvas. As I dragged the cups along the centerlines, the paint slowly dispersed and left a collection of vibrant cells and intricate lacing in its place. Each panel has unique textures and features a unique metallic accent color: Bronze for Earth; Silver for Air; Copper for Fire; and Pearl for Water. 

The surface of this painting was finished using a high-gloss UV-resistant varnish that brings the colors to life. Edges were finished with black paint. Each panel has a wire attached (horizontally) for easy hanging. This piece has been signed by the artist on the front and back.  The Elements can be hung either horizontally or vertically (see images below).​
