COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SERVICEHi! My name is Danielle Harshenin. I am the artist that creates all the paintings on this website. I have been painting for over 15 years and I am very passionate about what I do! I grew up here in the Okanagan Valley and absolutely love being a part of this wonderful community.
I didn't go to art school - I actually went to business school - so, although my work is very personal to me, I treat it like a business. My objective is to provide a memorable, personalized experience for my collectors every time. All of my paintings have been created with love and intention using high-quality surfaces and materials. Most pieces have been signed by the artist on the front and back of the canvas. I take great care in making my paintings and storing them safely until they find their forever homes. |
All of my art prints and merchandise is produced and sold by Society6 - an online marketplace for independent artists. I treat my art prints and merchandise as an extension of my original artwork, therefore I am committed to offering only the highest quality products available. Society6 has an outstanding reputation for their product quality and customer service, so I trust them to represent my brand! If you have any feedback related my Society6 products, please feel free to send me an email directly.

RETURN &
|
ORIGINAL PAINTINGSOriginal paintings are subject to exchange only within 7 days of purchase. They must be in the exact same condition as when they were delivered or shipped to you and can only be exchanged for another available painting of equal or lesser value. After 7 days, original paintings are final sale. Any applicable shipping and insurance charges will be at the purchaser's expense.
COMMISSIONSFor commissioned original paintings, I collect a 50% deposit prior to commencing work on the project, with the remaining 50% due upon completion. The initial 50% deposit is non-refundable.
I communicate with my clients extensively before committing to a commission project to ensure that we are both on the same page. I also send my clients progress photos throughout the creative process to provide updates on how their painting is coming along. Each of these updates is an opportunity for the client to provide me with feedback and to request minor changes if needed (at no extra charge) - I want you to LOVE your new painting! You can read more about my commission process here. If a client was unhappy with their completed painting for any reason (which has never happened in my 15 years of practice!) and we were not able to reach a mutually agreeable resolution, the client would not be obligated to pay for the remaining balance for the commission. The client would forfeit their initial deposit and I would keep the completed painting. Once the completed commissioned painting has been delivered or shipped it is a final sale. GIFT CERTIFICATESGift certificates are final sale. They are non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash. Gift certificates must be redeemed within 12 months from the date they were issued. They can be used towards the purchase of any available painting or towards a commission. Gift certificates can not be used to purchase my art prints or merchandise.
PRINTS & MERCHANDISEAll of my art prints and merchandise is ordered and sold through Society6. If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact Society6's Customer Service or refer to their Return Policy.

CLEANING
|
When you purchase an original painting, it is important to know how to properly clean and care for it to prevent any accidental damage and preserve its integrity and value long-term. Most of my originals are mixed media - which means they were created using a range of materials such as acrylic paints, charcoal and pencil, spray paints, and oil pastels. For this reason, most of my original paintings made before 2022 are not coated with varnish (unless otherwise noted). Surfaces should only be dusted with a dry microfiber cloth. Never use a wet cloth or any type of cleaning products to clean the surfaces of my original paintings. Although my paintings are created using high-quality surfaces and materials, they are best displayed out of direct sunlight to prevent any long-term fading or discoloration.

I regularly donate my art to support local fundraisers, silent auctions, and causes that I care about. If you are looking for art donations for your event, please reach out and tell me about it.
