Duality is black, white and teal original abstract paintings that I made in 2019. This painting was created using a flip-n-drag acrylic pour technique. It began with two solid colour black and white sections of paint. A cup was filled with colourful shades of blues and teals and inverted onto the canvas at the intersection between the black and white areas. As I dragged the cup along the intersection, the paint slowly released itself leaving a colourful path of mesmerizing cells and intricate lacing in its place.

The word duality means "a contrast between two aspects or two points of view". When I look at this painting, I see what can happen when we open our minds and consider different points of view. The surface of Duality was coated with a high-gloss UV-resistant varnish that makes the colours shine. This painting has a wire on the back so it is ready to hang. Edges have been finished with clean black paint. It has been signed by the artist on the front and back of the canvas.
