My chair "Please Stand By" (left) has now been installed at the Lake Country Museum at 11255 Okanagan Centre Rd W, where it will stay for the next two years! I was so honored to have is placed next to chairs made by Leanne Spanza (right) and Margaret Kyle (center) - two incredibly talented local artists. Our trio of chairs is situated underneath a shade tree that overlooks Okanagan lake. It is a beautiful spot to take a break, people watch and enjoy a fantastic view.
45 chairs were painted in total and are currently being installed throughout the Okanagan from Osoyoos to Salmon Arm. All chairs will be installed in clusters of 3 at parks or beaches. More information about the project is available here. If you're looking for an adventure, going on a scavenger hunt to locate all the chairs would be a great way to spend a weekend! If you need some clues for where to find them, you can use the hashtag #ArtWalkArtChairs to see photos of people with the chairs! Good luck :-) You can also watch an interview with Hello Okanagan about this project - my chair is featured at the 16-minute mark!
