Title: 55 Carts
Size: 36" x 60" Medium: Mixed Media on Canvas Year Made: 2014 SOLD 55 Carts was inspired by an area on Highway 97 between Lake Country and Vernon where mountain rocks were blasted out to make room for the new highway, revealing an unexpected array of vivid orange and greens rocks. It is my favorite part of the drive.
55 Carts is a large orange and green original abstract painting on stretched canvas. Three-dimensional crackling fissures and other acrylic texture mediums create loads visual interest and depth throughout the piece. This painting has military-inspired accents including a hand-painted barcode in the upper right corner and ammunition wording spray-painted in the lower left corner. 55 Carts was finished using a high-gloss acrylic medium that makes the colors shine. It has a wire on the back so it is ready to hang, and it has been signed by the artist on the front and back. |
